Between Narbonne and Carcassonne, the « Montagne d’Alaric » is a landmark one cannot miss from the motorway, at the extreme North of the Corbières.
In Douzens, at the foot of the mountain, Domaine Py is an old family property where Jean Pierre started elaborating his own Cuvees in 2003.
Major investments were made for the wine making : destemmers, pneumatic press, stainless steel vat, revamping of the old concrete vats. The last touch was a temperature controlled barrique cellar.

Machine harvest at night with selection of the juices to keep the terroir typicity.
Separate fermentation for each varietal, at 16°C.
Maturing with regular stirring of the lees to extract as much aroma as possible and ensure a good lifespan.
Bottling with a light filtration.
Drink at 12 – 14°C, with local foods like paella or pork chops grilled on the vines.
