A family enterprise

Château Belot is a family enterprise built between 1987, when Jacques and Gisèle Belot bought their first vineyard, and 1996, when the Belot bought Château du Tendon, a former royal hunting lodge.
Their son Lionel is now in charge of the winery.

The complete installation has been updated and photo voltaic cells now cover the electrical needs of the Estate.

The Estate sits on : 25 hectares of St Chinian AC and 18 hectares of varietals : Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. 80% of the ground is calcareous clay, the remainder schists.

Parcel selections of the best Syrah with southern exposure.
Manual harvesting. Destemming and manual sorting on 60% of the blend.

Fermentation of 35-40 days. Daily manual punching of the cap during the first 15 days of fermentation and then the last week at controlled temperatures of 22°C.
